English Class: Pronunciation, Art Gallery, & Picnic
May 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us in class for a lesson about the Sixties Scoop (In the 1960s, many Indigenous children in Canada were taken away from their families). We’ll practice all four skills and review pronunciation for regular past tense verbs.
After that, we’ll walk to the Art Gallery/Centre to view their new exhibit, A.R.E.N.A. babies, by an artist and Sixties Scoop survivor. Finally, we’ll enjoy a little picnic under the yellow tent outside the gallery.
Complimentary snacks and beverages available. If possible, please also bring a snack to share at the picnic. Free childcare for ages 0-5 on site at SISS.
