Workplace Skills for Success Series

Workplace Skills for Success is a free two-part workshop series for newcomers who want to learn more about working in Canada and reaching their career goals in the Shuswap. Participants will learn about Canadian workplace culture, communication, and the skills that help people succeed on the job. Learn how to build on your international education and experience by exploring strategies to advance in your workplace and grow your career in Canada. The workshops will explore how to find a balance between immediate employment needs and long-term career goals.

Whether you are looking for your first job in Canada, starting a new job, currently working, or thinking about your next career step, these sessions will provide practical information, tools, and resources to help you succeed. Participants who attend both sessions will receive a Workplace Skills for Success Certificate of Completion. This certificate can be added to a resume and used to show your commitment to professional growth in Canada.
