DESCRIPTION:Join Terri and a volunteer for a family-friendly outing to the library! \n10:00 a.m. Meet Terri at the SISS office. We’ll walk to downtown Askews\, taking bus 25 to Piccadilly Mall (Bus 25 leaves Askews at 10:40 a.m\, arriving ~10:45 a.m at the mall. Free bus ticket). You can also drive directly to Piccadilly Mall if you want (A volunteer will be waiting at the library entrance at 10:45 a.m.). \n11:00-11:30 a.m. Enjoy story time with Ardie in the library; kids can also “stay and play” from 11:30-12:30 (with adult supervision). \n11:30 – 12:30. We can pet Lilly\, a therapy dog\, anytime up to 12 noon. Terri has also booked the small meeting room at the back of the library. Enjoy snacks\, beverages\, and a short lesson on library resources (Bring picture i.d.\, including one with your residential address on\, to get a library card). \nBus. Get another free bus ticket from Terri if you want to go back downtown (Terri is leaving with bus 25 at 12:47 pm\, arriving 1:00 pm at downtown Askews).

DESCRIPTION:Anvil Coffee (444 Main St Unit 1\, Sicamous) \n10-11:30 (ish) a.m. Drop by anytime for a chat with Terri and others over a complimentary coffee or tea. \nLibrary (446 Main Street #2\, Sicamous) \n12-1 p.m. Drop by with any questions or help getting a library card (Bring two pieces of i.d.\, at least one with a picture and one with your residential address). Please note that the library opens at 12 noon on Wednesday. \n1-3 pm. Join Terri for a refresher course on the CELPIP General test (all four skills). This test is for PR applications and is sometimes used for educational assessment (prior to taking a diploma\, certificate or degree at a college or university). CELPIP is also a test that PRs age 18-54 take for citizenship applications (listening and speaking only). Please pre-register by Saturday\, October 11; there are a limited number of seats available.

After the discussion\, we’ll walk a couple blocks to the Salmon Arm Art Gallery to view their new exhibit\, “Shine a Light.” It includes art about mental health from 12 organizations\, including SISS.
