Beware of Telephone Scams

Our clients have warned us about a telephone scam targeting immigrants. Someone pretending to be an immigration officer might call you and tell you that you are in trouble and that your immigration status is at risk.

If you receive a suspicious or threatening phone call or email, do not respond. If you’re not sure if it’s a scam, ask someone you trust or call Shuswap Immigrant Services at
