This test is for PR applications and is sometimes used for educational assessment (prior to taking a diploma\, certificate or degree at a college or university). CELPIP is also a test that PRs age 18-54 take for citizenship applications (listening and speaking only). Please pre-register by Saturday\, October 11; there are a limited number of seats available.

DESCRIPTION:It’s movie day – the new Superman movie! Come join Terri and a volunteer to watch a movie at the Salmar Grand Theatre (100 Hudson Avenue NW). Youth are welcome with parents (PG 13). Please meet at 1:15 pm outside the theatre so that Terri can buy the tickets and we can all sit together. The ~2-hour movie starts at 1:45. Please pre-register – limited seats! Terri will give you a summary of the show before it starts (There is NO English class on Saturday morning).

Join Terri and Pamela (a retired teacher) from 10-12 in the SISS classroom for a practical lesson on how to prepare. We’ll brainstorm methods for all four skills (reading\, writing\, speaking\, listening). In addition\, we’ll discuss what to do before\, during\, and after your test. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. After that\, we’ll walk 2 minute to Pharmasave (270 Hudson Avenue). Pharmacy staff will give us an overview of their services\, explaining how to get prescriptions\, walk us through the OTC aisles\, and briefly discuss Fair Pharmacare and extended health plans.
